Welcome to this area of outstanding natural beauty that we are lucky enough to call Home.

 

250 contiguous hectares of fields, woods and lakes; linked together by wide paths offering a unique natural ecosystem that we wish to share.

 

Aside from the sheep that occasionally run through the property there is no farming of any kind

and no hunting either.

 

Our property is a cul-de-sac and we own up to the top ridge so our valleys are peaceful and free of any modern pollution. 

 

You can take long walks, swim in the big lake, star gaze and other spiritual and healthy activities. Nature is alive all around you and the sounds and views are breathtaking, all the year round.

 

We are offering our hand-built log cabin for rent. Built by Tim Holmes our wood sculpture friend it has magnificent views of the Pyrenees mountains from its perched location. 

The cabin is a big double bedroom, attached is a dry loo, shower area, and kitchen and sun deck. Water is brought up for washing and drinking purposes and the energy is solar. 

You can stay here for days on end without moving just contemplating the vast views of several thousand hectares of trees and mountains and not a single other dwelling or you can walk out via any of the several paths and plunge yourself into discovering and being with the natural surroundings.

There are also our gypsy/shepherd huts for rent nestled in together by the big lake. One hut has the kitchen and day space with a double sofa bed and the other is a double bedroom, both beautifully decorated by Enca. The dry loo and shower are detached but part of the private space. Here it’s the view out west over the lake that is inspiring even if it is also easy to set off on one of the paths for a nature tour.

Ideal for a couple or even two couples.

 

We can offer eggs from our chickens and veggies from our garden as well as wine from our biodynamic vineyard. We share our property with a few dogs, cats, a horse and pigs

as well as several roaming wild animals.

 

We believe your stay here will help you connect with some of our planets precious natural resources and revitalize your spirit in a balanced positive way.

There are several activities in the surrounding area. Carcassonne and its famous castle is 45 mins away as is Montsegur. The medieval town of Mirepoix is 20 mins away and has a fabulous market every Monday morning and several restaurants and shops. When you are with us we will be happy to guide you

for your particular needs.
